Every month has seasonal items hot items: End of season clearance, prime purchase timing and peak season produce/groceries at the best pricing. When you learn what items are optimal pricing each months, you will begin to save your hard earned money by planning purchases around seasonal deals.

During the year, when I make note of things we need to consider replacing in the house I will wait for the seasonal sale. While I am waiting, it gives me an opportunity to stash a little money away to plan for that purchase.

The seasonal items for OCTOBER look like this:

Halloween is on Wednesday, October 31, 2012: Look for deals on candy! Print candy coupons when you see them.

As the Fall season begins, look for sales on winter clothing, fans and air conditioners, grills, auto supplies, appliances, and vacuums.

Christmas is coming up: Get bargains on toys this month as stores get ready for early holiday shopping.

Also take advantage of the Fall wine harvest season as wine shops and liquor stores try to clear their inventory with some of the lowest prices of the year on good quality wine vintages.
