Slim Down Time
Our Family Slim Down & Time Commitment:
It is to our kids! Mr. Cameraman and I made a pledge and time commitment to the kids to Slim Down our time focused on working. It was a BIG deal to them! The kids are thrilled and continue to talk about it all week long.
Our time commitment to them is one night a week (we picked Friday night) to shut off our cellphones & computers from 5-10 pm and just have a fun family night. We are doing all sorts of things: game night, movies at home night, hanging out and bike riding, or going to the free movies in the park. They are all no cost things. Cellphones are OFF and put away (and boy has that been tough on Mr. Cameraman, who is glued to his phone). Computers are OFF, and that’s not been easy for me to shut off my computer because I am on it all day long checking on things and working.
Slim Down Your Busyness:
Make a commitment to whatever in your life needs your undivided focused time. It could be a project or person, an organization or something that you know you are deficient in applying your time to because of being busy. It should be the biggest thing that hangs on your shoulders & is in your mind that you know needs more attention.
I Challenge You:
Turn off or walk away from the busyness that is stopping you from addressing what you KNOW needs to be done. It is hard at first, but the rewards of your commitment to Slim Down Busyness and focus will be well rewarded with a burden lifted.
