Rite Aid 101 – Learn to Coupon at Rite Aid

Rite Aid is a GREAT place to save on all your purchases. You can even pay pennies on the dollar for the things you use every day like toothpaste, floss, hair products, and household products. There are a few different ways to save at Rite Aid and I would suggest if you are new at this, ease into it as it can become a little confusing with all that goes on in the process.

Each week we have the Rite Aid Coupon Match-ups to make shopping at Rite Aid easy!

1.    Single Check Rebate Program (SCR) –
This is a great way to get money back on the products you purchase throughout the month. I say month because you can only turn in your SCR’s once per month, but before I jump ahead of myself, here’s how it works. The Single Check rebate Program (SCR) lets you buy participating products during a certain time period. The rebate offers do change by the month and the amount of time you have to purchase changes as well. So, make sure you buy the item(s) within the right time period.

To receive your rebates, you MUST sign up online first for Rite Aid Rebates Plus, and then you type in your receipt’s information online.  You can enter your receipt information at any time, but you may only request one check per month, so make sure you have entered all your receipts before requesting a check.  Once submitted, you can then expect a check in the mail from Rite Aid. Awesome huh?

DEAL SCENARIO:
Buy 1 Herbal Essence Shampoo $1.99 and  Earn $1.99 SCR
-Use $1.00 off Manufactures Coupon
Total out of pocket is $.99 + Submit for SCR
Final Price: FREE plus $1.00 overage after coupon and SRC

2.    Video Values Program –
Watch videos online and get GREAT printable coupons! These videos are usually 2-4 minutes long and you can really save $$$ using these coupons. These are Rite Aid store coupons and CAN be combined with manufacturer’s coupons.  These are sometimes called “ad perks.” You can keep up to date with the videos on the Tip Resource Coupon Database page.  These do change every month, and once they’re gone, they’re gone.  But when you watch them before they’re gone, they will usually stay in your account for an additional month.

HOT Tip:  Watch every video  just in case there’s a sale in the future where a Video Values coupon can be used.

3.    Wellness + Rewards Program
This is a card you can get at the store or sign up for online at the Rite Aid Welness + Rewards page.  With this card you can save on many different things.  For one, you will now be able to get the +UP Rewards advertised in the weekly circular. These rewards are a dollar amount printed at the bottom of your receipt and can be used on your next store purchase. You can say this is like cash back for purchasing the participating products.

HOT Tip: You can use manufactures coupons AND Rite Aid Store coupons on your +UP Rewards Product Purchase to save even more

As an example –
Buy Motrin PM 20ct $3.00
-$1.00 Manufactures Motrin coupon
-$.50 Rite Aid Store coupon for Motrin
Get +UP Reward $2.00
Out of Pocket price = $1.50
TOTAL Savings = FREE due to the $2.00 +UP Rewards. (to be used in your next transaction)
You will notice that the +Up Rewards do have a limit per item, but you can purchase the item for the same sale price even after you have the limited amount of cash back rewards.

**Note on using multiple coupons** from the revised coupon policy~
More than one coupon CAN be used on one product as long as the guidelines are met. You can use one “48” Rite Aid Manufacturer Coupon (Can be found in RITE AID coupon booklet available in store and in Weekly Sales Paper circular and also occasionally mailed to you from Rite Aid) and one “49” Rite Aid Value Coupon which is the coupon you receive from watching the videos PLUS a “Normal” Manufacturers coupon that can be found HERE on Tip Resource or in the Sunday paper inserts.

Limit 4 of the same products per transaction.
