Make gift bows from magazines! How to Video shows you an easy way to recycle magazines or comics.  I get free magazine subscription and like to come up with ways to utilize the magazines for multiple purposes.

Here are 3 Tips for Recycling Magazines:

  • First share with your friends.  Then them give back to you.
  • Take to the Dr. Office and leave in the magazine in the waiting room.
  • Drop off at the hospital and they will distribute them to various patient rooms.
  •  and of course Make Bows!!

How to make bows from magazines ~

1. Gather stapler, glue (or double stick tape), scissors and a magazine page.
2. Cut a magazine page lengthwise into 9 strips, 3/4″ wide.
3. Leave 3 strips page length.
4. Cut 1″ off 3 strips.
5. Cut 2″ off 2 strips.
6. Cut final strip down to 3.5″
6. Use the cut piece to form the center of the bow, form it into a circle.
7. Twist each strip, looped into a figure 8, staple or glue to hold.
8. Stack layers of figure 8 strips to form the bow, gluing/taping or stapling each layer.
9.  Finish bow center with the round circle.

And there you have it!  How to make gift bows from magazines video!   Other things to use to make bows with are maps, ads from the junk mail or comics.
