Save money on milk! My favorite tip
When I am running close to the expiration date on milk in the refrigerator, I freeze some in ice cube trays. This saves me because I am not throwing it out and this frozen milk works beautifully in recipes! I’ll also save 1/2 c in snack size zip top bags, just for cooking.
After the milk-cubes are frozen place them into a ziploc bag and label. Average cube is 1 ½ Tablespoons.
When it comes time to add milk to cooking or baking, thaw frozen milk-cubes and use like fresh milk. When the summer is hot and a milkshake is a perfect cool treat, add the frozen milk-ice-cubes to your homemade milk shakes.

How To Fix Burned Gravy
Don’t throw away burned gravy– there is hope to save the burned gravy! If you are making gravy and accidentally burn it, here’s how to fix the burned gravy. Pour it into a clean pan and continue cooking on low heat. To take the “burned” taste from gravy use sugar. Add a pinch of sugar, stir, and taste. If the burned taste isn’t gone, try another pinch of sugar. Avoid over-sugaring it. The sugar works to cancel out the burned taste in the gravy. It really works, I know!

Don’t toss your rock-hard brown sugar just yet! The easiest way to soften brown sugar is super simple. Just remove it from the box,put the amount you need for a recipe in a plastic bag, add a teaspoon or two of water to the bag and heat on high for 15 seconds or until softened. Now, only soften the amount you are going to use because it will get extra hard after this fix!

When you’re halfway done with your favorite vinaigrette, fill up the rest of the bottle with balsamic vinegar. You still get the taste of the dressing but with about 30% fewer calories.
